During his middle school and high school years, Carlos has attended two of the best arts schools in the nation, located in Jacksonville, FL. LaVilla School of the Arts has trained Carlos in ballet, modern, jazz, hip-hop, and masculine techniques during middle school. Douglas Anderson School of the Arts matured his training even more in his technical training as well as choreography training. He has worked with numerous artists, choreographers, and companies provided through the dance department. Also during this time, Carlos has and still performs as the Lead Russian Doll in the “First Coast Nutcracker.”

During his high school years, Carlos has received the Honourable Merit Award in hip-hop style dance at the National Young Arts Foundation.

At Jacksonville University, Carlos has attended and received a Talent & Academic scholarship. There he has double majored in Computer Science and the with Fine Arts College in dance. Commercial work as well as stage and concert is a part of Carlos’ repertoire. This commercial is for Head Tennis Rackets featuring one of the world’s best tennis players, Novak Djovkovic. Check it out, featuring Carlos and some his Systematic Dance Crew members.

Systematic Dance Crew is a hip hop dance crew. Carlos is a member as well as a choreographer of the crew. Check out one of their accomplishments performing, competing, and winning B.E.T.’s 106th and Park’s dance competition.

Also while in NYC, Carlos became a dance instructor at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway. There he taught various classes and styles including contemporary, hip-hop, lyrical, jazz, modern, and street-jazz.

Carlos is also a member of Rasta Thomas’ Bad Boys of Dance, now known as Bad Boys of Ballet. With them he has toured over 10 countries including: Germany, France, Spain, Austria, Greece, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland, Russia and the U.S; all in a span of 2 years while performing their hit show, “Rock The Ballet.”

In NYC, Carlos has also performed with the broadway cast of “Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark” for their final “Gypsy of the Year” performance.

In NYC, Carlos has performed full-time in iLuminate’s off broadway show: “ILuminate: Artists of Light.” iLuminate made their big debut as 2nd runner up winner on NBC’s “Americas Got Talent.”

Carlos has been a top 20 finalist on FOX’s “So You Think You Can Dance” season 10. He entered as a contemporary dancer. There he has worked with artists and choreographers such as: Mia Michaels, Sonya Tayeh, Nappy Tabs, Stacey Tookey, Travis Wall, Chris Scott, Jason Gilkison, and Tyce Diorio.
