Shannon started dance and gymnastics at the age of 3. She trained in all forms of dance and was a part of her dance studios award winning competition teams for 12 years. Concurrently, Shannon competed in gymnastics for 10 years before turning her focus to trampoline and tumbling. She was invited to the Junior Olympic team two years in a row winning gold and bronze medals. After graduating from high school, Shannon went to UCF where she received her Elementary Education degree and a dance minor in 2009. She was able to combine two of her passions and has been teaching dance for 15 years. She has been a competition team director for the past 10 years where her dances won several 1st overalls, choreography, performance, and entertainment awards. In addition, Shannon is an award winning costume designer and seamstress. Her costumes have won many 1st place costume awards at various dance competitions.
